Challenge
For many organizations, getting from here to there can take months, at best. So, what if you only have 1.5 days to help 35 of the world’s most brilliant minds agree on a common vision for the future? This was the incredible challenge facing the Bridge Innovate® team and members of the International Organizations Network (ION), a prestigious members organization of leading academics and thought leaders in the field of global organizational studies and management from institutions including Stanford, Kyoto Sangyo University in Japan, and the International Institute for Management Development in Switzerland to name a few, for one of ION’s annual conferences.
Solution
Bridge worked with ION’s event sponsors to design and facilitate an Accelerated Design Workshop. The highly interactive process included defining the challenge, researching and scanning trends and data for insight and inspiration, developing solution prototypes, and creating action plans to take the vision forward.
Results
Bridge’s accelerated design process helped ION achieve rapid consensus on their future vision. The session provided a platform for open communication coupled with mutual respect, which created a safe environment for honest dialogue. In addition to generating group buy-in on a common vision for the future, participants learned new techniques and ways of thinking to help solve complex challenges.
