Accomplish Great Things with Strategic Influence

Bridge Innovate® administered their Strategic Influence Leadership Program (SLIP) program over six sessions—this virtual program included four modules around Business Insights, Creative Problem Solving, Designing Change, and Strategic Influence. These participants developed strategic consultative skills for use with Human Resources Business Partners (HRBP), business partners, investors, and more.


Challenge 

An effective business strategy requires an understanding of communication avenues. Challenges are destined to occur between leadership, employees, stakeholders, and business partners. According to the Harvard Business Review, “[t]o be effective in organizations today, you must be able to influence people.” Our participants within the Strategic Influence series appreciated the value that strategic influence holds within their organization, and were keen to develop their understanding beyond the surface level.


Solution

Bridge Innovate® designed the Strategic Influence series with an overall focus on collaboration. Participants were tasked with learning the basics around Business Insights, Creative Problem Solving, and Designing Change in order to provide a solid foundation for Strategic Influence. Each of the participants got the opportunity to discuss toolkits, Design Thinking, and Change Theory in the overall context of Strategic Influence. Participants were then introduced to the ExperienceChange™ simulation, and were responsible for achieving 60% buy-in to be considered successful. Finally, they were asked to teach back these concepts to other participants.


Result

Both teams succeeded in the ExperienceChange™ simulation by achieving 60% buy-in and contextualized their learnings within the proposed scenario.
