Rachel brings over 25 years of experience in the local nonprofit sector through her time serving at the Northside Neighborhood House and in leadership roles for various community-wide efforts like Chattanooga 2.0 and the TN Community School State Network.
She was named the 2024 Nonprofit Executive of the Year by United Way of Greater Chattanooga, and under her leadership, Northside Neighborhood House was recognized as Nonprofit of the year twice including in 2024 by the Chattanooga Chamber of Commerce. Rachel has a deep passion for equipping and empowering nonprofits to strengthen communities and build a brighter future for all residents. Throughout her career, she has dedicated time to mentoring and supporting other nonprofit leaders.
Rachel possesses extensive experience in board governance, organizational growth, team-building, and strategic planning, having worked with Bridge Innovate during her time at the NNH. During her eighteen years of leadership at the NNH, Rachel led significant growth, including expanding and enhancing programming, increasing the operating budget tenfold, and growing the staff from 13 to 70 positions.
Rachel is eager to collaborate with nonprofits across the region to build their capacity with a focus on continuous improvement. She is passionate about helping nonprofits maximize efficient and effective processes to best serve their communities.
