Doug Bennett

Consultant, Strategy, Organizational Development, and Executive Education

Douglas W. Bennett leverages nearly four decades of military leadership experience in strategic educational administration and organizational transformation. As former Deputy Dean at the U.S. Army War College, he pioneered curriculum redesign initiatives and assessment-based educational approaches for senior leaders. His expertise spans design thinking methodologies, complex operations management, and multinational strategic planning.

During his transition from military service through the Department of Defense SkillsBridge program, Doug led the development of The Knoble's inaugural three-year strategic plan. The Knoble is a mission-driven nonprofit that partners with financial institutions to combat human crime, including human trafficking, child exploitation, and financial scams. His contributions helped align the organization’s mission with long-term strategic objectives, enhancing its impact in safeguarding vulnerable populations through financial intelligence and systemic change. Doug's strategic framework established foundational pathways for The Knoble's vision of creating Human Crime Specialists within financial institutions—professionals equipped to detect and prevent exploitation through financial channels. This work exemplified his capacity for translating institutional vision into actionable strategic frameworks that align organizational capabilities with emerging societal imperatives.

Throughout his career, Doug directed critical international security operations in Afghanistan and implemented comprehensive performance frameworks. He holds advanced degrees in Strategic Studies, Military Arts and Science, Computer Information Systems, and Mathematics, complemented by design thinking training from Stanford's d.school. Based in Chattanooga, Tennessee, Doug continues to advance institutional excellence through evidence-based transformation strategies that bridge conceptual vision with practical implementation.
