Research completed by McKinsey has shown the value of distinctive creative work and links innovative leaders to higher levels of innovation within their companies. McKinsey’s Design Index report found companies investing in design capability achieved average revenue growth of 32 percent higher than their peers, as well as 56 percent higher in Total Return to Shareholders. Telling your leaders to be more creative is not the approach that will yield results. Creativity and innovation must be integrated into daily routines, and understanding the customer must be the center of focus.

Is also critical to be able to test, learn, and adapt approaches to drive innovative ideas to tangible business outcomes. Remaining agile throughout the design process is something you will learn in our Design Thinking Master Class, offered September 10-12. Paired with Morehouse Innovation & Entrepreneurship Center’s mission of innovation with student leadership development, Bridge is partnering to bring a Design Thinking Master Class to the greater Atlanta area.

Designed as a 3-day immersive in-person experience, the Design Thinking Master Class will provide participants with in-depth learning on each step of IDEO’s human-centered design process: defining the challenge, tools for gathering empathy, forming insights, techniques for brainstorming, and the tools of prototyping and testing.

Jenny Whitener, chief executive officer at Bridge Innovate, noted, “Companies that are using design methods to understand their customer's needs and reframe complex problems, are seeing significant strategic benefits.”

The Design Thinking Master Class is a 3-day program that will equip participants with the knowledge, skills, tools, and practice they need to:

  • Guide organizations and clients through top-of-the-line design thinking simulations ExperienceInnovation™ Aware and Learn;

  • Utilize Sprintbase™, the new design thinking platform for virtual teams, and become a certified guide to lead teams through design journeys anywhere worldwide.

Hosted at Morehouse College in the Shirley Massey Executive Conference Center, the fee for the 3-day workshop is $2,500.

Two Reasons to Invest in Design Thinking

  1. The recent McKinsey Design Index report found companies investing in design capability achieved average revenue growth of 32 percent higher than their peers, as well as 56 percent higher in Total Return to Shareholders.

  2. LinkedIn's Global Talent Trends 2019 reported creativity as the "most in-demand soft skill" in short supply.

– Art Akerman, Microsoft

“We were able to quickly train our consultants on Design Thinking so they can start applying this methodology to their client projects. We are looking to drive innovative solutions with our enterprise customers and increase our impact.”

– Paul Carlile, Boston University

“A nice, strong collaborative spirit. The simulations bring all the elements of design thinking together and provides a way for students to actually do it; instead of just reading about it.”

– Senior Leader, Wal-Mart Corporation

“A great platform to push the thinking of my team to develop new and better solutions for the Enterprise.”
