Calling all inventors—we are excited to announce the Fall 2023 Bright Spark® Invention Challenge!
Through an invention, we are asking students to address natural disaster recovery. Your solution can be: (1) a product, service, or technology that equips people to recover from disasters or (2) a holistic model of service that lays out key features for the physical and emotional recovery process from disasters.
What does Natural Disaster Recovery mean? Throughout the world, people are affected by natural disasters often damaging their property, being hurt physically, or emotionally. How can people prepare and plan for recovery after these events? Be it flooding, droughts, wildfires, or extreme weather events, people need ways to recover emotionally and physically to rebuild their lives.
For this challenge we are asking the question, “How might we help communities affected by natural disasters recover emotionally and physically?”
How to Participate
Register and claim your RSVP Ticket! You have the choice of participating within a group, or as an individual.
Create a new service or product designed to solve an existing problem.
Record a 90-second video pitch introducing what you have designed.
Submit your video! Videos will be posted on the Bridge Innovate® YouTube Channel and the Bridge Innovate® Website for public voting. The top ten videos by age group with the most “likes” will become finalists before moving into the judging phase, where our Bright Spark® Judges will then determine each category’s award winners.
Attend the Fall 2023 Bright Spark® Virtual Awards Ceremony on November 17, 2023! Each category’s award winners will be recognized—and the event will be completely open to the Bright Spark® community!
You must register and claim an RSVP Ticket to participate in the Fall 2023 Bright Spark® Invention Challenge. If you utilize the Submission Form without possessing an RSVP Ticket, your submission will not be considered.
