About the Challenge
The Bright Spark Fall 2022 Invention Challenge is a free virtual entrepreneurial innovation competition for 4th-12th grade students hosted by Bridge Innovate.
Students use the design thinking process to identify a real-world problem, empathize, ideate, and prototype an invention.
For this challenge, we’re asking students the question: “How might we make the world a better and more sustainable place for everyone, including people in the future?” Students are encouraged to explore sustainability, identify a “real need,” and design an inventive solution.
The final submission is a 90-second pitch video posted on Bridge's Youtube channel and website for public voting. The top 10 invention videos by age group with the most "likes" become the finalists and are forwarded on to a prestigious panel of judges who select the award winners.
The award winners are recognized at the virtual awards event attended by all participating individuals and teams, and livestreamed to the public.
